Update on Haitian kidnapping

When it was reported that christians kidnapped 3 kids from Haiti, and some of them still had living family in the country, I can't say I was shocked, it was more of a disgust and pity occasion.

Until I found out that all 33 kidnapped Haitians had living family.

With a belief in god, what isn't allowed? It's a great excuse to act like complete idiots and trample on others to get what you want. Kidnapping children from their families is something I would expect in Hitler's Germany, not from American christians; it seems I still have some learning to do.

W...T...F...

I am just speechless, this has to be a new low, even for christians.

"So whom does God wrong in commanding the destruction of the Canaanites? Not the Canaanite adults, for they were corrupt and deserving of judgement. Not the children, for they inherit eternal life. So who is wronged? Ironically, I think the most difficult part of this whole debate is the apparent wrong done to the Israeli soldiers themselves. Can you imagine what it would be like to have to break into some house and kill a terrified woman and her children? The brutalizing effect on these Israeli soldiers is disturbing."  - William Lane Craig

So, let me get this right... God orders Israeli soldiers to kill every last Canaanite, including the women, children, and babies, and Dr. Craig says the real victims were the soldiers that killed the babies? Is he kidding? That has to be the most immoral thing I've ever heard. Brother Craig is no dummy, but this is just so terrible I can't believe he said it.

Is he serious?

Pat Robertson is quite a piece of work. His latest comments about the Haiti earthquake push the limits of stupidity and pettiness; this should not surprise anyone since it comes from the parties of god, but it's still an eye opener to see this kind of stuff being said in the modern age.

Why doesn't brother Robertson just come out and say it: they're black and terribly poor, who cares about them?

You're a shining example of bankrupt morality Pat, I'm sure my eight year old nephew has a higher understanding of morals; you should be ashamed, but you won't be. The real shame is that there isn't a hell for you to go to.

Anti-Jesus christians

How does a person manage to be a christian conservative? It seems a bit illogical doesn't it? Jesus was anti-wealth, and conservatives favor it heavily. Conservatives show no love to gays, but Jesus preached to embrace everyone. Jesus told people to be honest, while conservatives lie like maniacs to prevent health care reform -- which would help save lives. Jesus overall was a pretty liberal figure; I don't find many similarities between his teachings and modern conservatism. It makes me chuckle everytime I hear someone confess love to christ in one breath, then in the next breath scream and cry about having to pay a little money to save other people's lives; how do they do it?

Christian group kidnapping Haitian children

I think that most moral people can find common ground in the belief that kidnapping children is wrong. One might be tempted to say it's more than wrong -- it's just flat out despicable, and perhaps even sociopathic.

Unless you're christian.

In some misguided attempt to help people that seem to have no luck at all, the parties of god have taken to stealing children from Haiti without even bothering to make sure they were orphans first. It seems as many as one-third of these kids have living relatives; but that didn't matter to some American baptists that were caught trying to smuggle the kids out of the country.

I can't help but wonder what makes these criminals tick. It's almost like the faithful know they're acting immorally, but they don't care. Maybe if they believed they were solely responsible for their own actions, they wouldn't act like jackasses -- just a thought.
